Educating The Poor in Burkina Faso
La Bonne Nouvelle is situated in Ouagadougou the capital city of Burkina Faso, while Ecole de Wendsongda is situated in Leba – a village 100 km from the capital. The school populace ranges from 150 to 200 students and 100 to 150 students respectively between the ages of 6-15 years. The schools are under supervision of the Ministry of Education and use the national curriculum with French the medium of instruction. The schools were founded in 2000 and have been rendering service to marginalized children and orphans coming from different ethnic groups and religions. Both schools are funded through sponsorship and faithful donations of our partners. Tuition fees are kept to a minimum and are subsidized.
We exist to impact the lives of our students through the power of the gospel of Jesus Christ and to give them a quality education because we have the hope that as we educate a child, we are educating a nation.

MISSION PARTNER / MINISTRY PROFILE
The ministry was started by our Founder/Missionary Danny and Ruby Bayasen as a literary school. They initially aimed to teach the children how to read, write and do basic maths. However, in a very short time, the number of attendees reached more than a hundred kids filling all the space in their courtyard. Some were asked to go home because of a lack of benches to sit on. The next morning the children came back with their own chairs placed on top of their heads.
Presently, the ministry has evolved into two schools namely: Ecole La Bonne Nouvelle and Ecole Wendsongda de Leba. The schools lay a foundation for us together with the local teaching staffs to provide quality education to our students and to train them in God’s Word impacting, empowering and equipping them to become productive and fruitful leaders in the future. The ministry is now headed by Helen and Noel, missionaries from the Philippines.
